SHIRAZ
Shiraz is considered the capital of literature, poetry, gardens, flowers and wine (until '79).
Shiraz, in addition to being a beautiful and relaxed city, is a starting point for the archaeological itineraries of Persepolis and Pasargade, and is a city with a great hospitality and tourist vocation.
Its season is spring, the city is completely in bloom and surrounded by its ancient gardens that can be completely visited. With its connections by train, plane and bus it is a starting point for visiting Iran.
Main sights:
- Bazar-e Vakil: This market is located in the heart of the historical center, is richly decorated and through its narrow streets are dotted mosques and caravanserais.
- Shah Cheragh Shrine: an important Shrine, it's decorated with thousand mirrors.
- Nasir Ol-Molk Mosque: it is the most beautiful and fascinating mosque in Iran, its glass reflects various colors with the sun.
- Hafez Tomb: the poet is considered the father of the Persian language, his poses are read and recited as much as the Koran.
- Arg-e Karim Khan: this fortress it's the main sight of Shiraz.
- Eram Garden: it is one of the gardens of the city.
