Corona, vaccinations and travel restrictions in Iran
Iran, like any other country, has been badly hit by the corona-virus. It was one of the first countries with a high rise of infections and one of the first where a 'second wave' started.
Of course this has had a big impact on traveling to and in Iran as well. But last months the vaccination program started working in high speed level and most people are vaccinated now. The number of infections are getting less everyday.
Iran is open for travel in 2022 and 2023
The ministry of tourism announced in september 2021 the re-opening of Iran for foreign travellers again. Since 23th of October 2021 visa's started to be issued again. You will need to be fully vaccinated or need a negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours before arrival) and need a Letter of Invitation (LOI) to apply for your visa. Shazdeh Travel is happy to assist you with the LOI. Also you will need an Insurance covering Covid-19.
